Emily Scott Pottruck
Chairman
Emily Scott Pottruck is Chair of the Pottruck Family Foundation board. Her background is primarily in sales, marketing and customer service in several industries. She is a trustee at her undergraduate alma mater, Simmons College (with an MBA conferred by Cornell University). Currently, Emily serves as a nonprofit board member for The Park City Foundation and V-Day. A devout animal lover, Emily is the author of Tails of Devotion - a beautifully photographed book highlighting more than 50 San Francisco families and stories of their relationships with their beloved pets. All proceeds from the sales of Tails of Devotion are donated to animal welfare nonprofits. For more information, go to

David S. Pottruck
President
David S. Pottruck serves as President of the Pottruck Family Foundation. He is currently CEO and Chairman of Red Eagle Ventures, Inc., a private equity management company. He also serves as Chairman of Eos Airlines, a startup international carrier. Dave serves on the Board of Directors of Intel Corporation and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation. He is Senior Advisor for Golden Gate Capital. He is a Senior Fellow in the Wharton School Center for Leadership and Change Management. In addition, he is Senior Advisor to Diamond, a publicly held strategy and technology consulting firm. Dave was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of The Charles Schwab Corporation, where he worked from 1984 until 2004.
Terry Pearce
Director
Terry Pearce is an author and a veteran communication consultant
and educator. A former executive with both IBM and Charles Schwab,
he is the Founder and President of Leadership Communication, a company
that coaches high-profile corporate, political and community leaders.
Terry is also an Adjunct Professor in leadership and communication
at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley,
and a visiting lecturer at the London School of Business.
Karen Cashen
Secretary
Karen Cashen serves as Secretary of the Pottruck Family Foundation.
She formerly served as Vice President of Active Trader Marketing
for Charles Schwab & Company, Inc. She has been actively involved
in a variety of non-profit organizations in the Bay Area including
San Francisco AIDS Foundation, San Francisco School Volunteers and
Habitat for Humanity.
Henry B. Pilger
Treasurer
Henry Pilger, co-founder of Burr, Pilger & Mayer LLP and President and Co-founder, BPM Wealth Management LLC, serves as the Foundation's Treasurer. Henry holds a master's degree in taxation from Golden Gate University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has thirty years of experience providing tax services to high net-worth individuals and closely-held businesses. In addition to being a speaker, instructor and co-author of the book "Strictly Business," he has served as President of the Northwest Region, American Technion Society.

Nancy Wiltsek

Nancy Wiltsek has more than 20 years experience in the nonprofit sector, fifteen of which has been spent as a grantmaker in the U.S. and abroad. She has been Executive Director of the Pottruck Family Foundation since 1999. She serves as Chair of Northern California Grantmakers (NCG) Family Philanthropy Exchange Advisory Committee and as a member of the Foundation Center's Advisory Board (San Francisco branch). She also serves as a trustee of the Gagarin Trust whose grantmaking focuses on human rights and social issues in St. Petersburg, Russia. A third generation San Franciscan, Nancy holds a Masters degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco/Institute for Nonprofit Organization Management and a Bachelors degree in Anthropology from U.C. Berkeley. In addition, she was trained as a retreat facilitator through the Center for Courage and Renewal.
Heidi Emmel

Heidi Emmel serves in an administrative support capacity to the Pottruck Family Foundation. After 18 years in the corporate sector helping national businesses organize retail and office environments, she launched her professional organizing and administrative consulting business in 2004. Her background in organization and interior design, combined with her expertise in coaching colleagues to reassess and analyze their personal spaces, has attracted a steady stream of diverse clients including corporate executives, event planners, non-profit organizations and foundations, restaurateurs and individuals. Heidi is often called upon to work on a range of projects from overall project management, event planning, corporate office reset and space planning, to personal assisting and general organizing. Heidi has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). She serves her community by participating in a number of charitable causes such as Students Run Oakland, a mentoring program for at-risk youth and Special Olympics.
