Welcome to the
Pottruck Family Foundation Online

Bay Bridge at night The Pottruck Family Foundation (PFF) was established in 1995 by David S. Pottruck and Emily Scott Pottruck to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and youth. Over the next ten years, the Foundation awarded more than $4.2million in grants, primarily to education, youth development/youth services, and community-building programs in San Francisco. In 2005, the Foundation began to commit a substantial portion of its grants budget to supporting organizations working with young people in foster care in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently, the Foundation focuses almost exclusively on Foster Care, with a particular emphasis on supporting efforts that will improve the ability of foster youth to thrive and to successfully transition from care to adulthood. In addition, the Foundation may decide to support special projects or civic and community projects that serve the city of San Francisco at large. Please note that these types of projects are initiated by the Foundation.
